We started out fixing other people's software.
From 2019 we built for companies that had an idea but no engineers of their own. What kept landing on our desk were systems built by people who never had to run them afterwards.
So we stopped handing over files and walking away.
Most agencies ship the code and disappear. That is why so much custom software has become a problem by its second year. We changed how we work so we stay for the whole life of the thing we build.
Now the work is out in the open.

Not values for a poster. These are the rules that decide what we take on and what we refuse to ship.
We say the difficult thing early
If we think the plan is wrong, you hear it in the meeting, not in a review six weeks later.
We write decisions down
Why we chose one approach over another goes in writing, somewhere your own team can read it.
We pick boring technology on purpose
Save the clever ideas for the product. The plumbing underneath should be predictable and well understood.
One team, one person accountable
Designers blaming developers blaming the hosting company is a structural problem. We do not build the structure that allows it.
We test on the phones your users actually have
Mid-range Android handsets on slow networks. Speed is a requirement from the first day, not a tidy-up at the end.
The handover is written for whoever comes next
Including the very real possibility that it will not be us.
